Access to data
EnergyDataDK is a digital innovation hub that provides access to a wide range of data from the energy sector. Some data will be open to all, while some data will require an access agreement (NDA).
EnergyDataDK collects historical and real-time data from specific data points throughout Denmark.
Workspace
Upon request, private workspaces can be created where registered users can work confidentially with selected data packages.
Data available can be both open data and data from specific research projects.
Real time data
Data are collected from sensors in real-life and provided to subscribers as real-time data streams via API’s. Additionally the data are available as historic data via API and webpage.
Actuators can subscribe to data, and this allows users to build real-time applications, where a number of (open and/or private) data are combined and processed to generate control signals to actuators. These actuators can control users own asset or asset in one of the connected living labs. Training and courses will be provided.
Data analytics
The EnergyDataDK hub includes access to energy system simulations by providing access to a Real Time Digital System Simulator (RTDS), closed loop hardware-in-the-loop tests and implementing real-time solutions, e.g. wide area assessment of stability and security of power systems.
This will allow the user to develop and test digital control solutions under normal and abnormal conditions as well as making systematic tests of solutions in very high number of cases (due to the real-time capability).
The hub also includes a high-performance computing (HPC) cluster, which enables us to analyze more advanced data faster and thereby expands the capabilities for developing and testing new digital energy solutions.
Interconnection
We believe that digitization is the glue that will bind together the energy system of the future. Therefore, we see a great potential in being able to integrate the data from EnergyDataDK with physical facilities and infrastructure to test unique solutions.
We offer collaboration with the PowerLabDK platform, which is a world-class experimental platform with expertise in technology development, testing and demonstration of sustainable energy solutions. PowerLabDK performs research and innovation at all scales from component to system level. The platform contains flexible test laboratories, large experimental facilities
Visualization
The hub will offer visualization tools that help present data. For instance using map based visualizations to forecast consumption, show energy flows or visualize the operation of an energy system based on data.
Consultancy
EnergyDataDK provides cutting-edge knowledge to the customers and the development of their digital energy technology solutions.
The hub provides world-leading expertise through a collaboration with Center for Electric Power and Energy and PowerLabDK own technical staff with knowledge about the technologies of tomorrow due to the interaction with the latest state-of-the-art research and strong international anchoring.
Validation
The hub offers various testing and demonstration opportunities in all scales – either fully virtual or in correlation with physical elements and/or infrastructure. The hub will support test, development and validation of the product to speed up your development and market readiness.
EnergyDataDK is continuously developed in collaboration with our partners, as part of the project Digital Energy Lab.
The project is supported by EUDP and is expected to be completed in early 2022. After this, EnergyDataDK will function as an independent data platform and hub for digital solutions.
